Born and raised in a small farmers village in the east of the Netherlands, where everyone was quite prudish, I found myself an outsider. Moving to Amsterdam made me get to truly get to know myself, struggled with my inner self, my body, the way I looked.

I started photographing random things and soon I discovered how intriguing the female body was to me, how beautiful every single woman was especially with her flaws. She established something that I was not and I even envied; self secure and filled with self-esteem, by being so bold to be captured so pure, by me. I felt flattered.

In my opinion, all women are gorgeous, in every shape and form. Such a shame they don’t always realize that.

My passion is to photograph women, in a vulnerable, sensual and yet such a way they develop, in front of my lens, from a caterpillar to a butterfly.

It’s my goal to make her feel self confident, see theirselves in such a way they haven’t seen or felt themselves before.

I strive to make every woman feel unique and strong.
